From the author: A trio of science fiction themed haiku poems inspired by the planet Mars.

Mars is a planet that calls to me. Soon it will be the new frontier of humanity. What better place to draw poetic inspiration from?

Rust
Martian hue isn’t blue
rusty skies in morning light
color me pink

Cold
Twin moons chase stars
Mars descends into the cold
Another night alone

Rover
Lonely wheels rove gravel
rolling forever on Mars
seeking red cousins

What is SciFaiku?
SciFaiku is a child of contemporary international haiku. A poem is 3 lines and contains about 17 syllables, but this is not rigid due to the subject matter. The topic is always science fiction. The poems strive for a directness of expression in its simplicity. Sometimes the poems are titled. Sometimes they are not.
