From the author: New things, lots more stories to come, and the beautiful, Nth-dimensional nature of names.

A few weeks ago, I made the decision to (mostly) stop putting my stories on submission and start putting them out myself. This isn't a new thing for me--I've been self-publishing and serializing novels and stories for years, but with one foot in both realms. But I've dealt with deep anxiety around submissions for years and gone in stages where I get antsy and self-publish things that aren't breaking through the submissions walls...and those things often become my most-loved or most-reprinted stories.

There's a pattern there, and I'm learning to trust I should follow it: I want to get my best and deepest stories out there. They're often not the ones that resonate as quickly with publishers, but resonate much more deeply with my audience at large when I decide to put them out myself. They're my heart that needs to be shared.

So, I'll be updating weekly with new content! I have a few reprints yet to put up in the next few months and beyond, but most stuff on here will be brand-new. I just started a new limited serial with "Magnificent," a non-binary superhero novelette, and I'm trying something new: releasing it as free for subscribers (or a one-time price) for three months and then releasing it as free and in Creative Commons after that. Because my passion to release my work in Creative Commons has definitely not gone away! But I'd also like to give subscribers some extra love. I still plan to release some stories free out the gate, but it will be a good mix of free and subscriber content.

Three months seems like a good sweet spot--especially when the story might otherwise be sitting in a slush pile somewhere, or behind a paywall at a magazine. So if you can jump on board, you'll get new content weekly! And if you aren't in a place for that, you'll still get the stories for free a few months later. Because inclusivity and stories for all! <3

Also! You may have noticed: I've changed my author name. Names are beautiful, slippery, Nth-dimensional things. I've found a new dimension to mine that feels more myself.

With many more things to come,
