From the author: I've been posting reprints every week on Curious Fictions for one year. And I have even bigger plans for the year ahead.
Hello, Curious readers!
It's been just over 1 year since I joined Curious Fictions and began posting reprints every week. I now have 54 (!) stories up, and it's a fine time to pause and give you a few updates on my plans for the year ahead.
First, the reprints will keep on coming! I said in my very first post here that I've had about 70 stories published, but the truth is, that number is sort of fuzzy. Should I count self-published stories, or just stories that I've sold to a third party? What if those stories "sold" to places that only paid in free copies (or nothing at all), but were still vetted and accepted by an editor? What about stories that I initially self-published, but then sold for money to a third party as reprints?
It's more accurate to say that, as of this post, I have unleashed 83 unique stories with the byline of "KJ Kabza" upon the world. (And as of this post, I'm scheduled to unleash 3 more.) Which means even more reprints for you than you may have thought!
Second, those reprints will all be augmented with some of the helpful add-on features of the Curious Fictions platform, including short summaries (to help you decide what to read), tags (to help you find exactly what you're looking for), and links to my related books (to help... well, mostly me, in case you want to buy one).
Even better, I've gone back through all of the stories I've posted thus far and augmented them with short summaries and book links, too, and tags on those older stories will be coming in the next week or so. I'll also add links to any available audio versions. So whether you're a long-time rider on this Kabza train or a new passenger, you'll enjoy an all-around service upgrade.
Third, I'm going to include a few serializations for my subscribers! My erotic steampunk novelette, "Heart of Brass" (originally published by Fantastic Fiction Publishing) will be serialized in 4 parts this May, and my science fiction novella, "You Can Take It With You" (originally published in my first print collection, THE RAMSHEAD ALGORITHM AND OTHER STORIES), will likely be serialized in 7 parts in early 2020.
Watch this space for more updates, and as always, thanks for reading!
