Alec Nevala-Lee was a 2019 Hugo and Locus Award finalist for the group biography Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction (Dey Street Books / HarperCollins), which was named one of the best nonfiction books of the year by The Economist. He is the author of three novels from Penguin, including The Icon Thief, and a frequent contributor to such publications as the New York Times and Analog Science Fiction and Fact. Syndromes, an audio original collection of his short stories from Analog, was recently released by Recorded Books. His biography of the architectural designer Buckminster Fuller will be published by HarperCollins in 2021.
