Katrina Smith writes short fiction and essays while she waits for the mothership to come. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming from Daily Science Fiction, The Future Fire, Metaphorosis Magazine, Synaesthesia, Salon, and The Butter, among others. She has an MFA from George Mason University. She lives in Bend, Oregon, surrounded by Ponderosa pines, her two children, a wild otter and an assortment of pets. This bucolic location does not help her word as much as she hoped it would, but at least she’s still writing.
