C. L. Kagmi is an award-winning and bestselling author of short fiction. Prior to writing and editing full-time, she studied Neuroscience at the University of Michigan and worked in laboratory and clinical research for seven years.

Her short stories have been translated into two languages, and have appeared in multiple anthologies including "Writers of the Future Vol. 33 (2017)," "Compelling Science Fiction: The First Collection (2019)," and "Weird World War III" which is upcoming from Baen Books.
