Reena Shah is a writer, educator, and dancer. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Texas Review, Jet Fuel Review, New Limestone Review, Origins Journal, Temenos, and Chalkbeat. She was recently named a semi-finalist for Nimrod’s Fran Ringold Award and was the runner up for the New Letters Fiction Award in 2017. She is also the author of the biography, Movement in Stills: the Dance and Life of Kumudini Lakhia (MapinLit). Reena holds an MFA from New York University, teaches 4th grade in a Brooklyn public school, and is the mother of two young boys.
